CONTENT SUMMARY

  • Mechanics of Breathing
  • Spine, Pilates center, and body alignment including neutral pelvis – bony landmarks of the hip and pelvis, movement and alignment of the pelvis, pelvic floor muscles and function.
  • Muscles, movement analysis. Scapular movement and alignment deviations – anatomy of the shoulder girdle
  • Joints and movements, types of joints, anatomical position and joint movement. Muscles and their movement
  • Types of muscle contraction, muscle roles, muscles acting as force couples
  • Key stabilizing muscles for optimal efficiency of movement: TA
  • Review of the knee joint, hip joint shoulder girdle, common pathologies and exercise solutions
  • Analysis of beginner, intermediate and advanced exercises
