I am now offering Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are specifically designed for new pilates instructors to get their self mastery and teaching hours up under a mentorship program that makes it a focus to achieve your studio certification under careful guidance and support. It is for the dedicated pilates practitioner. My focus will be to assist you as much as possible to learn your craft and gain confidence in your teaching skills.

•  You receive ongoing support and advice

•  Up to two group or trio classes per week

•  Up to two hours of free access to studio space for your own self mastery per week

•  Up to two hours of supervised teaching practice per fortnight

•  Up to four hours of paid teaching under the apprenticeship scheme per week working with Louise Taube Pilates clients (depending on bookings)

•  Two hours of teacher training sessions per month

•  You must book in for a minimum one, optimum four private sessions per fortnight, that you will be charged a standard rate for

Apprenticeships are awarded on application.

Apprenticeships are a gateway to on going employment.

I am able to offer a maximum of three apprenticeships per year.

INTRODUCING

Emma Oliphant

Emma is a dynamic and enthusiastic pilates instructor. Emma studied a bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy and has a keen interest in personalizing fitness programs to meet individual needs and development. Emma completed her study in 2006 and now works as a Rehabilitation Consultant and Injury Management Advisor, assisting people with illness, injury or disability return to employment.

Following episodes of chronic back pain in 2002, Emma followed the advice of her physiotherapist and begun Pilates. The use of Pilates Methodology created greater bio mechanical and proprioceptive (awareness of body position in space) awareness for Emma, improving her posture, strength and flexibility and reducing her back pain.

After personally experiencing the benefits of pilates, Emma wishes to assist client’s rehabilitate from injury and wanting to share the benefits of intelligent movement with others. She commenced Pilates instructor training in 2005 with Polestar and deferred, completing her mat work certification with the YMCA in 2007. At present Emma is completing Polestars Rehabilitation Studio Series.
 
Emma’s keen interest in fitness and rehabilitation is reflected in her work as a Pilates instructor and is evident through her large attention to detail in her work and commitment in achieving exceptional results for her clients.
